How I spent my summer vacation: XCS Central Office beautified downtown Xenia

Members of the Central Office team for Xenia Community Schools spent this past summer watering, weeding, fertilizing, deadheading and other tasks required to keep their five large containers surrounding the Greene County Court House looking spiffy.   The plants were bought with donations from Central Office staff members, including former Supt. Jeffrey K. Lewis, Asst. Supt. Randy Overbeck, Title I Coordinator Kathy Napier and Secretary Pam Bottorff.  Shown, left to right, carefully nurturing just one of their containers of ornamental grass, begonias, petunias and sweet potato vine, are Cafeteria Coordinator Charlene Landis, Curriculum Secretary Cindy Stanley, Personnel Secretary Jeni Arnett and Publications Technician Ellen Ryan.
