The Xenia Community Schools district knows that healthy employees both save the district money in medical care costs and keeps students in schools by not passing on contagious illnesses.
The district recently hosted their fourth annual health fair from 1:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, for school employees and their families. Health screenings, financial information, retirement services, door prizes, refreshments and more were offered at various stations.
Flu vaccinations were provided to 120 attendees.
Vendors included AFLAC, United Health Care, Superior Dental, 403b investments representatives, Montgomery Insurance and Investments, American Red Cross, OSU Extension-Greene County, Key Bank, and many more. The event was coordinated in part by Montgomery Insurance and Investments.
Childcare, door prizes and refreshments completed the event.
The event was designed to stress healthy living and preventative health among employees and their families.
