 Employees in the Central Office of Xenia Community Schools (XCS) recently hosted a retirement reception for custodian Mike Pitzer of Xenia, who has served the school district for almost eight years. Previously retired from Vernays in Yellow Springs, Pitzer is married to retired Spring Hill Elementary School teacher Janice Pitzer and the father of two daughters. Enjoying a buffet provided by his co-workers, Pitzer received a stainless steel waste can filled with money collected from Central Office staff. He also received several special gifts from his co-workers.
