New Xenia elementary schools take one more step towards becoming a reality

Brick color, exterior accent trim and interior design materials have been chosen for the five new elementary schools that will be built in Xenia through the Ohio School Facility Commission.

With input from  Fanney-Howey, Inc. architects, the Xenia Community Schools (XCS) school design team is comprised of school principals, administrators, technology staff, teachers and department coordinators. All final choices were made by the local school team. The exterior accent trim colors will also be reflected within the interior design of the building.  Final assignment of colors to each building will be selected through a lottery drawing.  Shown admiring the final set of materials for one building are, left to right, Spring Hill Elementary School teacher Sandy Riordan; Cox Elementary School Principal Lisa Peterson; and XCS Supt. Deborah Piotrowski.
