The sale of books will actually purchase more books for the Xenia High School (XHS) library as part of the fourth annual Book Fair sponsored by the school and Barnes and Noble, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Beavercreek store location.
A percentage of total purchases made that day will be donated to Xenia High School if the buyer has a Barnes and Noble Book Fair voucher. Vouchers must presented at the time of the purchase and are available from Xenia High School or by clicking here.
Buyers may choose from bestsellers, children’s books, toys, gift items, games, home and office products, Godiva chocolates and packaged Starbucks coffee. All proceeds from the Xenia High School/Barnes and Noble Book Fair will be used to purchase books for the XHS library.
“The bookfair is an important fundraiser for the school library in this time of dwindling budgets. We use the proceeds to buy books that encourage our students to read, and research shows that the more students read, the better they do in school. This fundraiser directly benefits our students; every penny goes into buying books that our students want to read,” said Kay Gerspacher, XHS Librarian.
The book fair offers special performances including Bill Richey and the Magic of Science; sounds of the season provided by various XHS students; and XHS Ensemble. Cookies will be available during the day as long as they last. For more information, call (937) 562-9981 or email kgerspac@xenia.k12.oh.us.
