TSAL Honor Roll Assemblies

 

2011-2012 TSAL ASSEMBLIES: 

       ** November 10th at 2 PM

        **January 26th at 1:30-2:30 PM

        **March 28th at 1:30-2:30 PM

           May 24th at 10 AM-12 PM

**Following the assemblies - chips served in the gym in January and March

Parents and other guests may park in back of the school, but will need to

be out of the school parking lot by 2:30 PM. Overflow parking at Westminster Church in the back parking lot.

STUDENT RECOGNITION GUIDELINES

Academics- Straight A Honor Roll

                  A and B Honor Roll

The follow areas qualify as Academics:  Reading, Written Expression, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Health

In order for students to qualify for the A or A/B Honor Rolls, students must have at least a C or higher in P.E., General Music, and Instrumental Band. 

 

Behavior- A student is eligible if he/she:

*Has 3 or fewer YELLOW cards in the quarter. (No RED, BLUE, or WHITE)

*Has not had AFTERSCHOOL DETENTION in the quarter.

*Has not been SUSPENDED from SCHOOL or the BUS during the quarter.

*Has not attended SATURDAY MORNING SCHOOL during the quarter.

Perfect Attendance- Students are eligible if:

*They have PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the quarter.  (No absences, lates, or tardies)

Improvement- Improvement recognition begins in the

                       SECOND QUARTER.

*Going UP a grade in one subject area without going DOWN in any other subject area shows improvement

* A student who previously had straight A’s and has straight A’s again, is eligible for Improvement Honor Roll. 

A note about our TSAL representatives in grades 3, 4, and 5: 

It is an honor to be chosen to be a TSAL rep.  In order to continue as a TSAL representative he or she must be eligible for the Behavior Honor Roll for the grading period.  If not, a new rep will be chosen to replace the ineligible rep.
