The Xenia Educational Endowment Fund (XEEF) was organized in 1985 as a nonprofit organization to support programs which assist and encourage achievement of the highest standards for all the young people of the Xenia school area. XEEF is governed by a board that consists of representatives from the Xenia Education Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Education. The goals of the Board include: becoming the major charitable fund for those interested in improving the quality of education; building an additional non-tax base of support for the Xenia Community Schools; supplementing the educational needs of the district by bringing new resources for enrichment to the classroom; and more. As state funding goes down, it becomes even more important. Our resources have steadily grown and we have been able to increase the number of grants given each year. The Endowment Fund needs your support to continue. Annual Reports are made available to donors upon request. One of our major programs is to provide Classroom Grants to teachers, administrators or community members within the school district boundaries for programs that benefit Xenia school children. Over the years, the XEEF has granted over $160,000 for these grants from the interest generated from the endowment fund.
