Superintendent Morrison's Weekly Update September 15

I hope that this weekly bulletin finds each of you in good heath and enjoying your weekend.  All of your hard work is most definitely noticed and truly appreciated.  Thanks for all you do for our kids.

State Report Card- This past Friday the Ohio Department of Education released to the media the report cards for every school district across the State. School Districts are rated on Student Achievement, Gap Closing, Progress, Graduation Rate, and K-3 Literacy. I would certainly be remiss if I did not congratulate you on your outstanding effort.  Last school year the students in our school district averaged two years worth of academic achievement.  They attained "two years" of Academic Growth in "one" school year!  This is fantastic.  Our school district earned the highest rating possible in the State for our Progress- a grade of A.  Together we are making a difference.  We still have much work to do to get us to where we want to be, but the strides we made last school year were unprecedented.  I know that the entire community is so proud of this accomplishment. I would like for nothing more than to duplicate that progress once again this school year!
