Message from the Principal

Welcome back to Shawnee.  I hope you had a safe and happy summer.  We're ready to begin a new and exciting year.  Many of you ask, What can I do to help my child be more successful and Is there anything I can do to help at school?   Over the next year, I hope to share some information with you that will answer those questions.  Here's how:

1.  Check out the "Parent Resources" page on this web site.  There you'll find information and tips on how to help your child be more successful.

2.  Check out our Faculty/Staff page.  You'll find your child's teacher's e-mail and phone number so you can keep in touch.

3.  Check out our PTO page.  There you will see how our Parent Organization helps out at school.

4.  Check out our Calendar page for what's happening at school.

5.  Check out our newsletter page.  There you will find a copy of the newsletters that are sent home - just in case it never makes it home :)

Research tells us that children are more successful in school when their parents are involved.  I hope this web site will give you the tools to help you with that task.  Give us a call if there is any other way we can help.
