Fall 2010

Dear Simon Kenton Families,

It is hard to believe that 2010 – 2011 school year is here.  We are extremely excited to get the year started.  We are excited to share that we continue on our trek to excellence by showing continued improvement on the 2009-2010 Ohio Achievement Assessments.  Official results will be shared once they are released by the Ohio Department of Education in August.  Due to the hard work of our families and teachers Simon Kenton students show at least a year’s growth in Reading and Math.

We are committed to providing our students with an exceptional learning experience.  We will continue our PBS (Positive Behavior Support) program that will provide meaningful focus on our school culture.  Also, our K-Kids (Kiwanis) program will continue this year and be made available for more students to participate in service learning projects.  Our balanced literacy program continues to improve while we meet the needs of our developing readers and writers.
