Below are links to web resources for the games that we play. If it goes to a commercial site, please do not assume that we endorse that site. It's just a good resource for that game as well.

There are no bad sites. I don't link to crap.

BoardGame Geek		Probably the best resource on the Web for board games. Have any questions? Here's where you go to ask. Very active forum.
Board Game Central		Lots of links for many many games. Good resource.
Axis and Allies.org		good site for Axis and Allies discussion.
Tabletop Gaming News		This site is a great news source for upcoming board games and wargames. I check it daily.

MINIATURE WARGAMING COMPANY SITES

Privateer Press		The people that make WARMACHINE, the Iron Kingdoms RPG, and HORDES. And yes, they're supposed to be capitalized.
	PP Forums	A place for discussing all things Privateer Press does. Not too heavily moderated. I post as Karadek on there.
Games Workshop		They make Blood Bowl, Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Fantasy Battle, and lots more. Tends to be pricey, but are the undisputed kings of the miniatures games.
Reaper		The people that make the Dark Heavens, Warlord, and Reaper miniature lines. Excellent quality minis at reasonable prices, good for D&D figures.
	Reaper Games	Discussion on their games, including a forum.
Rackham Miniatures		Rackham used to make some of the best miniatures in the business, but made some poor business choices and went under. This is a site that indexes all the minis from their game Confrontation. Still worth looking at.
Corvus Belli		This is the English site for the game Infinity, which I am really enjoying at the moment.

WARGAMING PAINTING AND TERRAIN BUILDING SITES

XGC Painting Guide		Written by Mr. Keefe to give you a basic understanding of how to prepare and paint your miniatures. No pictures. If you have questions, ask.
The Painting Clinic		Good how-to site. Updated somewhat irregularly.
Miniature-Painting.net		Also a good site for basics and some advanced work.
Brushthralls.com		Privateer Press's official painting site. Great tutorials and how-to articles.
Paintrix Miniatures		Jen Haley is one of the hottest miniature painters right now, and for good reason. She does seminars at GenCon. Great stuff!
Cento Industries		Good guy, good painter, and he has some tips. Plus I know him.
Terragenesis		Best source for terrain-building how-to on the Web. Good semi-active forum as well. Gary's got it all.
Necromundicon		Excellent, awe-inspiring stuff. Sean is a legend in the miniatures world.
Parasitic Studios		Great stuff. Very cool, but definitely on the doable scale.
Hirst Arts Fantasy Architecture		Ever want Legos for making buildings for your minis? Here ya go. It's lots of work, but the results speak for themselves. I have some of his stuff.
MicroMark		They make all the tools you need for putting miniatures and models together. High quality stuff for not a lot of money. I use lots of their stuff.
Antenociti's Workshop		An excellent commercial terrain site. I don't buy anything (I prefer to make it myself) but it's good for ideas.

GENERAL WARGAMING SITES

Waryammer Forums		My favorite place on the Web. It's a forum for wargaming, but really anything goes. Nice people, as long as you don't act stupid. I post as Karadek on there.
Stuff of Legends		Has galleries upon galleries of old classic wargaming miniatures. Take a look at your roots.
The Hobby Shop		This is a great little store down on 741 near the Dayton Mall. They have everything you could ever want, from games to models to RC cars and planes. Plus one of our graduates works there.
Bookery Fantasy		The Bookery in Fairborn. It's the largest comics/pop culture store in America! The people there are really great, too. I go there nowadays since Krystal Keep closed shop.
Epic Loot Games and Comics	?	This is a fairly new store down on 48 in Centerville. This is a lot like the stores I used to go to when I was in high school and college, combining games and comics in the same storefront. I haven't been there yet, but I hear it's good.

GAMING CONVENTIONS (close ones at least)

GenCon Indy		GenCon is the largest gaming convention in America. Held in Indianapolis every year, the XGC has attended since 2003. Excellent for miniatures games, RPGs, card games, and board games. Anime and manga fans will be happy too!
GenCon Survival Guide		Very helpful information for the GenCon n00b or even some of the GenCon vets.
Origins		Also extremely well known, extremely good. Held in Columbus. Smaller than GenCon, it is still excellent for RPGs and cards, good for miniatures and anime.
WittCon		This is a fairly small convention held by a student gaming group at Wittenberg University. An okay time; it's mostly RPG stuff and not much in the way of vendors at all. The link is for the actual RPG Guild site at Wittenberg; from there you can find the current WittCon page.
FOPCON		FOPCON is a larger local gaming convention, held in Huber Heights. It has a decent amount of everything; RPG, board games, miniatures games, and card games. This is fun.
DragonCon		I've never been, but I hear it's a great con. It's held in Atlanta, Georgia.

TRADING CARD LINKS

Wizards of the Coast		The people that make Magic the Gathering, the Harry Potter TCG, MechWarrior, and many others. I don't go there, but I suppose it's worthwhile.
Essential Magic		This is a much more useful site. Has a forum, deck builder program, and a trading area.
Harry Potter Card Game		Useful site about the Harry Potter TCG.
Yu-Gi-Oh Realms		It was recommended to me for the game. Hopefully it's as good as I was told.
